Diversifying Symbiosis 5

When architectures are built, its volume would influence the city nearby. YDS always keep nearby context as well as conditions of the site in mind.

Laws and economic efficiencies have big influences on deciding the volume of residential buildings. On the other hand, the notion of ‘making them as parts of the scenery’ is perpetually taken into consideration.

In Wavering Voids, the terraced volume is determined by laws, the given conditions, and the customer’s demands.

To reduce impacts of the volume, outer terraces are inserted into the various housing units as voids in the city. Creating architectural rhythms in which voids of terraces irregularly insert the volume results in diminishing the volume.

The intention is to make architectures be parts of the city that contribute to the urban contexts.
